WIlsons celebrate 50th anniversary

Gary and Donna Wilson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 15, 2013.

They were married Nov. 15, 1963, at the Albany Christian Church with attendants of Jerry Lee Van Houtan and Sharon Stevens.

Gary and Donna are parents of two children, son Kent, deceased 2011, daughter, Kandi Chaney (husband, Cliff) of Lincoln, Neb., and six grandchildren.

The family celebrated the occasion with a seven day cruise aboard a Disney Cruise in the Caribbean Islands. Gary retired from Hy-Vee Foods in 2001. They reside in Trenton, Mo., and Naples, Fla.

 

Grandchild adds to 100th celebration

Mildred Osborn of Raytown, Mo., and formerly of Albany celebrated her 100th birthday Jan. 20, 2014, at the home of her grandson Kevin and Alissa Heyle, and their children Korbin and Karis of Independence, Mo.

Attending were her son Gerald Osborn of Cameron, Mo., daughters Marilyn Sipes of Raytown, Mo., Carolyn and Dan Heyle of Bethany, Mo., grandson Chris and Shannon Sipes and their children Christian Avery and Shae Elizabeth of Kansas City, Mo.

Four days later at the home of Kevin and Alissa Heyle, Mildred was introduced to her seventh great-grandchild. Abigail Lorraine Heyle was born to Kevin and Alissa Heyle on Jan. 24, 2014, at the New Birth Center in Overland Park, Kan. She arrived at 12.36 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces and 20-3/4 inches long. Mildred and Abigail share the same middle name. She joins her 4-year-oldold brother Korbin Troy Heyle and 2-year-old sister Karis Beth Heyle. Also present were grandparents Dan and Carolyn Heyle, Aunt Karen (Heyle) Head, cousins Ryan Head and Caitlyn Head of Green City, Mo., and Great Aunt Marilyn Sipes.

Mildred said she enjoyed the many cards, messages and phone calls that made her celebration very special.
