The Rev. Clyde and Mildred Hulet of McFall, Mo., are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married May 13, 1944, at the Kennsington Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo.
Clyde is a veteran of World War II having served in the 50th Armored Infantry Division 3rd Army under General Patton in Germany. He is retired from South Harrison in Bethany, teaching 33 years industrial arts and carpentry. He has been an ordained minister since 1949 and was a pastor at Methodist Churches in Northwest Missouri. He is currently pastor at Word of Life Christian Fellowship in Pattonsburg, Mo. Mildred was employed at White Auto Lincoln Sales in Bethany, Mo., for 23 years, retiring in 1985.
They are parents of three daughters, Meredith (Stan) Doty of McFall; son-in-law Gene Read, their oldest daughter Marilyn Read is deceased; Judy Ruff middle daughter is also deceased.
The couple have seven grandchildren: Ted (Diane) Read and family of Rolla, Mo., Christina (Brandt) and family of North Carolina, Sarah Read and family of Kansas City, Angela (Scott) Crowder and family of Centralia, Mo., Heather (Brent) Jones and family of McFall, Christopher Doty of Kansas City, Mo., and Megan (Jeffrey) Epperly and family of Albany, Mo. They have 14 great-grandchildren.
