Albany’s Andrew Raines places second in the triple jump at the Class 1 Missouri State High School Activities Assocation State Championships in Jefferson City.

Albany’s Andrew Raines claimed second place in the triple jump at the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 1 Championships May 17-18 in Jefferson City.
Raines had a jump of 42 feet, 2 inches.
Amy Gully placed fourth and tied the school record in the pole vault with a height of 9-06.00.
Raines also medaled in the long jump with fourth place and a jump of 20.06.00.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Zachary Sharp, Drake Naylor, Rudy Sagun and Drew Cottrill medaled with a time of 46.01 for fourth place. The four earned another medal with seventh placed and a time of 1:35.76 in the 4x200 meter relay.
Tyler Lupfer medaled for eighth place in the discus with a distance of 121-11.00. He also placed 12th in the shot put with a distance of 40-06.50.
Macyn Gillespie, Kaleigh Janssen, Megan Poppa and Sarah Poppa finished the preliminaries of the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:54.46 but did not qualify for finals.
Gillespie Gully, Megan Poppa and Sarah Poppa finished the preliminaries of the 4x100 meter relay in 54.11 but did not qualify for finals.
Megan Poppa finished the 300 meter hurdles in 50.11 for preliminaries but did not qualify for finals.
